Autumn memories idea
Another idea I had was a video of someone walking through a park with autumn leaves all around, and just the sound effects of the park in the background. This idea was vague and an early idea, so there was not much development on it. I decided that this idea didn't work because there wasn't much going on in the video, and its vague memories, which is not what I wanted.

Dear me - Other variations
My first idea of this was a similar layout but me narration over video about my family memories, once again this didn't work as it wasn't really getting a story across to the viewer and was also a bit vague, I had the technique idea but not the narrative. Once I shared this idea in a group discussion, my colleagues felt the same, so we talked and shared ideas.
One of the ideas was to look through my family archive and find photo's and write a paragraph about them, I didn't like this idea as I wanted to work with video
Another idea was to find family archive photo's, then find similar photo's but from different family archives and place them together. I liked the idea, but once again I wanted to work with video, not stills.
More idea's were about me becoming independent because I had left home, this idea worked for me as many other people can relate to it, therefore the audience could relate and the video would not just totally be about me and my experiences. I took this into account, and later on added it to my idea.
Another idea was "going home to make a memory" & trying to capture memories in real time, I liked these ideas and added them to my main idea.

After coming up with a new idea on becoming more independent and creating new memories, I got myself a bit muddled up, so I spoke to a colleague and eventually settled on the idea that I have now.
